She dedicated her walk along the Camino de Santiago de Compostela to a research project for children with extremely rare disorders. While walking, she asked for financial support for the Chromosome 6 Project. This project aims to support children with a rare chromosome 6 disorder and their families.

More than two months ago Professor Conny started her walk, her camino, towards Santiago de Compostela. With this 1200 kilometre walk she wanted to raise money and awareness for Chromosome 6 disorders and the international research project being performed in the University Medical Centre in Groningen, the Netherlands.
